Under Secretary Menezes to Visit Pennsylvania

Menezes will discuss opportunities for economic development in the Appalachian region and utilization of the region’s vast energy resources.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, May 16, 2019, U.S. Under Secretary of Energy Mark W. Menezes will participate in a roundtable discussion with Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Mike Turzai, Policy Chairman Donna Oberlander, and Members of the House to discuss opportunities for economic development in the Appalachian region and utilization of the region’s vast energy resources.

Following the roundtable, he will then tour the Shell Ethylene Cracker Plant.

On Friday, following the President’s recent Executive Order promoting energy infrastructure, Under Secretary Menezes will participate in an industry roundtable at the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association to discuss federal impediments to the economic growth of the Appalachian region, including the petrochemical and other industries.
