Secretary Perry to Represent the United States at the International Atomic Energy Agency General Conference (IAEA)

VIENNA, AUSTRIA – Next week, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will travel to Vienna, Austria to represent the United States at the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

On Monday, September 16th the Secretary will address the IAEA on behalf of President Trump. He will also engage with his counterparts and industry stakeholders on both civil nuclear and nonproliferation issues. 

The Secretary will be joined by other senior DOE leadership including the Undersecretary for Nuclear Security and NNSA Administrator Lisa E. Gordon-Hagerty, Assistant Secretary for the Office of Nuclear Energy, Dr. Rita Baranwal and Assistant Secretary for the Office of International Affairs, Ted Garrish.
