WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, May 24th, Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will attend the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce’s Good Neighbor Award Gala, and receive the Good Neighbor Award.  The Secretary will provide brief remarks upon his acceptance of the award at the Gala, which will be open press.

Each year, the U.S. Mexico Chamber of Commerce honors individuals in the private and public sectors that have made outstanding contributions to U.S.-Mexico relations with their Good Neighbor Award. Secretary Perry is being recognized for his work in the public sector, specifically his leadership in fostering collaboration between the U. S. and Mexico during his tenure as Governor of the State of Texas.

The Good Neighbor Award Gala is the closing ceremony of the Chamber’s Board of Directors Meeting and Binational Conference.
