The Jorgenson family experienced uncomfortable temperatures and high heating bills.

Solution

The Weatherization Assistance Program, through the organization La Casa de Esperanza, provided a new furnace and attic and wall insulation for the family.

Positive Impact

The family was expected to see utility bills reduced from $347 per month to $134 per month as a result of weatherization—a 60% reduction. The upgrades also improved the comfort of the home, especially in the winter months.
