Office of Electricity Chief Operating Officer Receives Meritorious Executive Presidential Rank Award
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Electricity (OE) announced today that Terri Lee, Chief Operating Officer for OE, has been awarded the prestigious Presidential Rank Award (PRA). This recognition celebrates outstanding achievement, dedication, and leadership by career members of the Senior Executive Service and Senior Professionals across the nation. It is one of the highest honors in federal civil service, and final selections are made by the President of the United States.

Projects selected will receive more than $20 million for critical power equipment advancements.
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Electricity (OE) today released a new report focusing on distribution transformers in the electrical power grid. The report, prepared for OE by researchers at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), looks at the number of U.S. distribution transformer units, the number and capacity of the assets, their units’ current age profile, and how demand for distribution transformers might increase in the coming years.
