This project developed training materials for electrical operations and field safety skills for both Duke employees and contract workers. In addition, informational packages were to be provided to local and state emergency management associations, and to the crews from other utilities who come into Duke Energy’s service territory to restore power after a major storm event. Training modules were to focus on the installation and operation of automated meters and their associated communication systems.
