
Reesha Trznadel serves as the Acting Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO) for the U.S. Department of Energy. She oversees all aspects of human capital management for the Department’s workforce of over 15,000 Federal employees. She is responsible for developing and implementing effective human capital policies and programs, which includes providing strategic and operational centralized HR services for staffing and recruitment, employee and labor relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management, to enable DOE’s workforce to achieve its varied missions. Trznadel advises and assists the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Energy, and other senior agency officials, in recruiting, developing, training, and managing a highly skilled, productive, and diverse workforce in accordance with merit system principles and all applicable statutory requirements.
Reesha has been with the Department of Energy since 2006. She previously held the position of Chief Counsel for the DOE Golden Field Office and senior attorney for labor and employment matters in the Office of Assistant General Counsel for General Law. Prior to joining HC, Reesha served as the Deputy General Counsel for Business Transactions.
Prior to joining the Department, Reesha was a senior attorney in the Social Security Administration’s Office of General Counsel, specializing in administrative litigation. She also clerked for the Missouri Supreme Court.
