EA-503 - CWP Energy, Inc.

Export Authorization Application to Mexico, issued 12/19/2023.

Pursuant to Section 202(e) of the Federal Power Act (“FPA”), 16 U.S.C. § 824a(e) and 10 C.F.R. § 205.300, et seq., CWP Energy, Inc., a subsidiary of McGill-St. Laurent (“CWP Energy” or “Applicant”) hereby submits this application for a five-year extension of its blanket authorization to export electricity from the United States to Mexico (“Renewal Application”).

The Department of Energy (“DOE”) previously granted CWP Energy original authorization to export electric energy as a power marketer on January 3, 2017 in Order No. EA-503, and authorized an amendment to CWP Energy’s export authority following a corporate name change on May 3, 2017 in Order No. EA-429-A. CWP Energy’s current export authorization inadvertently lapsed on January 3, 2022.1 Accordingly, CWP Energy respectfully requests that this renewal application be granted as expeditiously as possible. CWP Energy respectfully requests authorization for renewal of authority to transmit electric energy from the United States to Mexico for a period of five (5) years.
