In 2019, more light-duty vehicle sales occurred in August than in any other month, likely influenced by model-year closeout sales. March and May were the other two months with over 9% of annual sales, followed by December and June at 8.9%. Light-duty vehicle sales in other years typically follow this same monthly pattern. Total light-duty vehicle sales in 2019 were nearly 17 million.
