In this photograph, the Roger Road Reclamation Water Reservoir features a 110-kilowatt (kW) solar array. This system was built on a reservoir deck as its special design allowed for a single-axis tracking system that follows the sun to maximize output. The project was funded by an allocation of Clean Renewable Energy Bonds (CREBs). Tucson, Arizona, is a Solar America City, designated by the U.S. Department of Energy.
