On Thursday, June 18, 2020, the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE) is hosting a Virtual Global Hydrogen Forum. The event will bring together government and industry leaders from around the world to discuss opportunities and areas of collaboration, and share insights on the role of hydrogen for multiple applications across sectors.

The United States is currently the Chair of IPHE, and will be represented by the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's Assistant Secretary, Daniel R. Simmons, as a keynote speaker. He will be joined by other government and global hydrogen and fuel cell organization leaders, including:

  • Fatih Birol, Executive Director, International Energy Agency
  • Kadri Simson, Commissioner Energy, European Commission
  • Yasuhiro Matsuyama, Director General, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
  • Alan Finkel, Chief Scientist, Government of Australia.
