The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Fuel Cell Technologies Office (FCTO) is offering research opportunities through the EERE Science and Technology Policy (STP) Fellowships Program. These two-year fellowships provide an opportunity for scientists, engineers, and researchers to participate in projects that support hydrogen and fuel cell activities. Fellows will be assigned to policy-related projects and mentored by senior EERE staff at the program office in Washington, D.C.

The EERE STP Fellowships serve as a next step in the educational and professional development of scientists and engineers interested in energy efficiency and renewable energy policy. Three levels of fellowships—Senior Fellows, Fellows and Junior Fellows—provide opportunities to a range of experience levels from recent graduates to experienced scientists and engineers.

FCTO is seeking 1–2 fellows in each of the following sub-program areas: hydrogen storage, hydrogen production, hydrogen delivery, fuel cell R&D, safety, codes and standards, market transformation, technology validation, systems analysis, and manufacturing. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
