Dr. Pradeep Prathibha joined the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the Department of Energy as a AAAS Science, Technology and Policy Fellow in 2022. She is working to advance the Building Technologies Office’s decarbonization goals through emerging technologies in Solid-State Lighting and Building Electric Appliances, Devices, and Systems.
Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and studied indoor air quality and air cleaning interventions in communities experiencing wildfire smoke (ASPIRE-Health, ASPIRE). Her research background is in using geographic information systems (GIS) to characterize intra-urban spatial variability, residential-level outdoor exposures, and biomarkers of exposure to air pollutants through mobile monitoring and fixed-site measurements. She has a Ph.D. in energy, environmental and chemical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.S. in chemical engineering with minors in English and sustainable energy systems from Cornell University.
