The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Programs (SBIR/STTR) Phase I, Release 2 topics, which include two Broadening Participation subtopics from the Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO):
- 10 A: Small Business Bioenergy Technologies Increasing Community Partnerships
- 10 B: Cultivating a More Competitive Bioeconomy through Strengthening Small Business Workforces
With these SBIR/STTR subtopics, BETO aims to direct research and development (R&D) resources to address challenges influencing access to bioenergy R&D and thereby increase the representation of those who participate in and benefit from the bioeconomy.
BETO is compiling a Partners List, wrote a blog, and hosted a webinar to facilitate the widest possible national participation in the formation of teams for this topic. The Partners List allows organizations who may wish to participate in an application to express their interest to potential applicants and to explore potential partners.
Please review the SBIR/STTR Phase I, Release 2 Bioenergy Topic (Topic 10) for the descriptions of the subtopics and details of the Partners List, like how to submit information to be included.
