The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) is seeking individuals to join the Renewable Carbon Resources (RCR) and the Data, Modeling, and Analysis (DMA) subprograms. BETO’s RCR subprogram develops strategies and supports technology development to mobilize renewable carbon resources that enable the production of bioenergy and bioproducts. BETO’s DMA subprogram supports research, analysis, and tool development to address the economic and environmental dimensions of bioenergy and bioproducts. It also works with research and development programs to develop innovative technologies and conduct integrative analyses that facilitate insights across the bioenergy supply chain.

The following positions are available:

  • Position 1: Renewable Carbon Resources Program Manager – General Engineer/GS-0801-15 or Physical Scientist/GS-1301-15 
  • Position 2: Data, Modeling, and Analysis Program Manager - General Engineer/GS-0801-15 or Physical Scientist/GS-1301-15
  • Position 3: Data, Modeling and Analysis Technology Manager - General Engineer/GS-0801-13 or Physical Scientist/GS-1301-13 

These positions can be located at DOE’s Headquarters in Washington, D.C., or the Golden Field Office in Golden, Colorado, and periodic multi-day travel is expected. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
