Tune in to PBS’s newest season of Energy Switch! U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) Director, Dr. Valerie Sarisky-Reed, will be interviewed on Energy Switch’s upcoming season to discuss the importance of biofuels to the U.S. bioeconomy and the progress that has been made to support energy innovation and research. 

Debuting on September 30, 2024, Season 5 of Energy Switch will be released on PBS.org and the PBS Passport app on topics ranging from biofuels and plastics recycling, to offshore wind and working in the energy field. Also, during this segment, Dr. Sarisky-Reed and fellow guest, Yiying Xiong from the DOE-funded Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center, will discuss the future of biofuels, including synthetic aviation fuels
