Tanisha Parker has been a dedicated public servant since she was a teenager and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) as the Chief Operations Officer. In this role, Tanisha will be responsible for the planning and executing resource management activities for OTT's human resources, finance and budget, acquisition management, security, and administrative operations.
She has been with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for 16 years. She has served in various leadership positions at DOE, most recently as the lead staffer managing the workforce management efforts and hiring under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for the Office of the Under Secretary for Infrastructure. Prior to that role, she served as the Deputy Director for Resource Management in the Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU).
Tanisha previously served as the Acting Director of the Workforce Management Office in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), where she oversaw the staff that managed human resources and operations for EERE’s 600+ employees. She also served for eight years as Chief of Staff in the Chief Financial Officer’s Budget Office where she assisted the director in efforts to formulate, analyze, and execute DOE’s budget portfolio of over $30 billion for national energy, science, environmental, and nuclear programs. Other DOE roles include serving six years as a Legislative Affairs Specialist in Congressional Affairs for energy-related activities.
Prior to joining DOE, Tanisha worked in the Office of Congressional Affairs at the U.S. State Department and in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Legislative Affairs office reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act.
