EPIC FOA Informational Webinar

Last month, the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) released a funding opportunity announcement (FOA) for its Energy Program for Innovation Clusters (EPIC). With up to $4 million in available funding, the EPIC FOA is the second of a two-part, $5 million program sponsored by OTT. 
On Wednesday, November 18 at 1:00 PM, OTT team members will hold an informational webinar to review the FOA and take any questions you may have. Register here.

Did you miss the announcement of the winners selected for the EPIC prize portion? We awarded a collective total of $1 million to 20 incubators across the country focused on developing strong regional innovation clusters. Read more here

National Lab Day Webinar Series

Career-Building Opportunities At DOE National Labs

On Thursday, November 19, 2020, OTT Director and DOE’s Chief Commercialization Officer Conner Prochaska will participate in the National Lab Day Webinar Series, hosted by the University of New Hampshire in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy National Laboratories. He will discuss the myriad career-building STEM and Workforce Development Programs at DOE’s National Labs, as well as introduce the OTT STEM Toolkit.

AnneMarie Horowitz, Director of DOE's STEM Rising, will also share an overview of what the Department of Energy does across the elementary-to-workforce continuum to advance STEM education and workforce development. STEM Rising is a project of the Office of Public Affairs to highlight all things STEM across the agency.

2020 TTWG Awards Announced 

This October, the Technology Transfer Working Group (TTWG) issued its annual awards celebrating the professionals who help transform DOE’s work from research into reality through commercialization. The TTWG is comprised of the leading staff in technology transfer across DOE’s National Laboratories, and these awards celebrate the excellent work done by those teams to streamline and improve the commercialization process. Over the past five years, OTT has been honored to host several accomplished professionals on detail assignments. Recently, we were lucky enough to catch up with Commercialization Executive Erick Hunt, a dedicated specialist OTT has been fortunate enough to host on detail for the past nine months.
