2024 Small Business Forum & Expo: Speaker Resources

Thank you for joining us as a speaker!

On behalf of the DOE’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), thank you for confirming to participate as a speaker at the 2024 Small Business Forum & Expo. This will be an exciting and valuable forum for small businesses, government officials, and large contractors.

Please review the information below on event details including target audience, registration, and travel. Speakers accepting invitations to DOE2024 Forum are expected to have read, understood, and agreed to the guidelines set forth.


Please forward the following to Anita Anderson (anita.anderson@hq.doe.gov) no later than Friday, April 19:

  • Photograph: Format: JPG; Resolution: minimum 300 dpi and at least 3 inches for its longest dimension; color format: CMYK or RGB. Please note: photos downloaded from a website are unacceptable because of the low resolution, which makes the photo blurry.
  • Brief Biography: Updated bio for use on program website and mobile app. Please provide in a Word document.
  • Speaker Presentation: You may download the 2024 PowerPoint template here.
  • Your Mobile Number: In case, we need to reach you prior and on the day of the event. Your phone number will not be published nor distributed to the attendees.

General Session Room Set-Up: All general sessions will take place in the Nicollet Ballroom. Seating for speakers will be set-up on stage, and a wireless handheld microphone will be provided to the moderator and speakers. All breakout sessions seating will be theater style with stage, riser, and skirted table with chairs for moderator and speaker(s).

Conference Registration: You may register online by using the Speaker Group Code SPEAK24.

Hotel Reservations: All moderators and speakers are required to make their own hotel reservations. All conference activities and sleeping rooms will be at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, 1300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN.

Flight: All moderators and speakers are required to make their own flight reservations. The closest airport to the venue is the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

Photographs and Videotaping: Taking photographs or using video equipment during any session or at any activities at this event is prohibited and violators will be removed from the premises. Only the official photographer will be authorized to take photographs. The organizers reserve the right to use any videos recorded at DOE’s Small Business Forum & Expo for public viewing on the forum website. The organizers reserve the right to use any photos taken at DOE’s Small Business Forum & Forum for use in forum materials, appearing either in printed documents or on related websites.

Press/Media Notice: Please be aware media may be present during your session. Media will be identifiable by their press badge.

Forum Attendees: We are anticipating over 1,500 attendees from around the United States. Breakout session attendance may range from 100-300 participants.

Speaker Cancellations: If you must cancel due to unforeseen emergency, please notify the DOE2024 Forum team immediately. If possible, please attempt to provide a substitute to fill the vacancy.

Speaker Attire: Business attire.
