DOE Information Center

The DOE Information Center provides citizens a consolidated facility to obtain information and records related to the Department of Energy’s various programs in Oak Ridge and abroad. Employees at the Information Center are available to assist with your requests and searches from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday, except for federal holidays.

It's current collection has more than 45,000 documents consisting of technical reports and historical materials that relate to the Department's operations. These include the Administrative Record, Freedom of Information Act requested records, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and other publicly accessible documents.

Additionally, the Information Center provides public access to the Oak Ridge Reservation’s Administrative Record under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).  

Services

Search the DOE Information Center Online Catalog
The database can be searched by author, title, abstract, document number, or date.

  • Requests - Documents can be requested in person or by telephone, email, or fax.
  • Reproduction - Please allow Information Center staff adequate time to reproduce documents. Some material requires special handling, security reviews, etc. 
  • Delivery - Unless special arrangements have been made with Information Center staff, documents should be picked up during normal business hours.

The Information Center does not maintain records concerning employee health concerns; this information is accessible through the Energy Employees Compensation Resource Center.
