Join our monthly H2IQ Hour webinar on August 29, 2024, at 12 p.m. ET for updates from regulators and industry on the current regulatory status of hydrogen and natural gas pipelines. Presentation topics include hydrogen pipelines and safety from Mary McDaniel and Kandilarya Barakat at the U.S. Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration; natural gas pipeline regulation from Terry Turpin and Thomas Pinkston at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; and pipeline permitting from Joan Dreskin at the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America.

This session is led by the Hydrogen Interagency Task Force's (HIT) Infrastructure and Siting Permitting (ISP) working group. HIT is a whole-of-government collaboration of federal agencies working to execute the national clean hydrogen strategy and roadmap, with ISP addressing federal regulatory barriers to hydrogen infrastructure deployment. Examples of activities within ISP include supporting harmonized codes and standards, environmental review best practices, pipeline test facilities, interoperability, and more.

The H2IQ Hour will include live presentations (45 minutes) followed by a 15-minute Q&A. A recording of the H2IQ Hour will be available on HFTO's website after the event.
