Anchorage, Alaska
The United States Energy Association (USEA), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM), DOE’s Arctic Energy Office, DOE’s Grid Development Office and the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, is hosting an invite-only workshop on Regional Decarbonization to be held in Anchorage, AK.
This event will share an overview of the currently funded work to give attendees an understanding of technologies that their company/industry could use to facilitate a lower carbon future. A DOE panel will then highlight current funding mechanisms, thereby introducing the participants to DOE funding opportunities to assist in achieving energy transition goals and to facilitate a lower carbon future, enhance grid flexibility, improve the resilience of the power system against growing threats of extreme weather and climate change, and to ensure communities have access to affordable, reliable, clean electricity when and where they need it.
