2020 SETO Peer Review

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) held a virtual 2020 Peer Review April 6-8, 2020. The peer review was designed to spark discussion about all of SETO’s active projects along with leading solar industry experts in order to evaluate program and project progress toward SETO goals. The findings help DOE identify strategies that will shape our work in the future.

Digital Portal

SETO is used a digital portal to manage awardee reports and posters from all SETO projects under review. Training materials for reviewers can be found here. Reviewers received login information for the portal on March 16, 2020.

Awardees can click here to view slides that demonstrate how to log into the portal and upload reports and posters. All awardees received their login information on February 18, 2020.

  • If your question is about the materials within your report and poster, or relating to the contractual obligations of your award, please contact your technology manager. If your question is about logistics of the peer review, please contact Greg O’Brien at gregory.obrien@ee.doe.gov.

  • For access issues with the digital portal, please contact Jeff Hood at jhood@bcs-hq.com.

  • Please send an email to gregory.obrien@ee.doe.gov and jhood@bcs-hq.com.

  • As soon as you log into the portal, your project’s track and topic are listed on the home screen. If you manage multiple projects, use the drop down menu to select the project, and the track and topic information should populate.

  • Due to security reasons, we can only provide login information directly to the principal investigators. If you are uploading documents on their behalf, please reach out to them directly to obtain their login credentials.

  • First, try to convert your poster into a PDF. That usually shrinks down the file size to under 10 MB. If the file is still too large, contact Jeff Hood at jhood@bcs-hq.com and he will work with you to make sure the file can be uploaded to the portal.

  • Unfortunately, no. Please use the template provided without any modifications.
