This photograph features Chaz Teplin, left, and Howard Branz, right, scientists at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. They use a hot-wire chemical vapor deposition system to grow silicon films for solar cells. They're using this system for an R&D project, funded by DOE's Technology Commercialization & Deployment Fund, in partnership with the Ampulse Corporation and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
