Post CARES ACT Paid Leave Costs

AL-2021-07 provides guidance to DOE/NNSA COs regarding the allowability of paid leave costs, including those defined in Section 3610 of the CARES Act, after September 30, 2021.
September 30, 2021, is the date agencies may use Section 3610 as the authority for recognizing the costs Section 3610 covers as allowable. Paid leave costs (such as those defined in the CARES Act’s Section 3610) are not expressly unallowable costs. No special authorities are necessary to recognize them as reimbursable.
