SUMMARY:  

The Department of Energy (DOE) Acquisition Guide Chapter 23.70, Coordination of Fee Reductions Concerning Worker Safety and Health with the Office of Enforcement, is a new chapter. The focus of this guide chapter is on Contracting Officers’ responsibility to coordinate with the Office of Enforcement before pursuing a fee reduction for a contractor’s violation of a Departmental regulation related to the enforcement of worker safety and health concerns, how coordination occurs, and coordinating effectively.
