Mission
The Resilience team affirms the overall DOE commitment to enhance the resilience of Federal infrastructure and operations, and enable more effective accomplishment of its mission, when implementing the policies to improve energy performance and consider environmental factors in resilience planning. This includes ensuring. the real property portfolio is appropriately sized, aligned, and in the proper condition to support efficient mission execution.
Scope
Focus on resilience strategies that support the ability to adapt to changing conditions and withstand and recover from disruptions. Resilience strategies help sites manage risks to DOE assets, infrastructure and operations.
Key Expectations
- Collaborate with organizational elements to update policies, plans and procedures to plan for and adapt to current or expected effects of extreme weather events.
- Provide information, awareness campaigns, and training support as applicable to management and other organizational elements.
- Exchange information and reports with other elements of the organization that are engaged in regional collaborations and long-term resilience studies.
