As required by the Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Implementing Procedures (Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations Section 1021.301(d) [10 CFR 1021.301(d)] and 10 CFR 1021.322(d)), the DOE Office of Legacy Management (LM) has issued a final Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) and proposed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) pursuant to NEPA to evaluate LM’s proposal to conduct grazing activities at some of its sites. You were previously notified in November 2019 of the 30-day public comment period for the draft PEA.

LM would like to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed FONSI, as required by 10 CFR 1021.322(d), and the final PEA. Both documents will be available for a 30-day public comment period, ending on May 10, 2020. The proposed FONSI and final PEA are available for public review on www.energy.gov/lm/office-legacy-management and www.energy.gov/nepa.
