Director
Nick Elliot serves as the Director of the Grid Deployment Office and provides strategic direction and guidance on the office’s approach to critical capacity and grid expansion to support the Trump Administration’s bold and ambitious agenda for restoring American energy dominance. Bringing over 20 years of experience in electrical power markets to the position, Nick started his career at Morgan Stanley in the Commodities business where he structured physical power solutions to optimize electricity flows for municipalities, investor-owned utilities, cooperatives and independent power producers. Through his career, he has executed deals with grid providers and system operators including Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT), Southwest Power Pool (SPP), New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), and California Independent System Operator (CAISO), as well as bilateral market agreements in the Southeast, Pacific Northwest and Southwest. Most recently he worked at Brookfield in New York focused on Western Power markets.
Nick holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and a Master’s degree in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics.
