On June 30, 2022, the U.S. Department of Energy released a request for information to solicit feedback from a wide range of stakeholders on the structure of the Hydroelectric Efficiency Improvement Incentives (EPAct 243) and the Maintaining and Enhancing Hydroelectricity Incentives (EPAct 247) programs, timing and distribution of funds, definitions of capital improvements, and selection criteria. A public listening session was held on August 9, 2022. Comments closed on September 6, 2022.
