DOE alleged in a Notice of Proposed Civil Penalty that School Air Mfg. Corp. d/b/a School Air, Inc. failed to certify single package vertical air conditioning and heating equipment as compliant with the applicable energy conservation standards.  DOE regulations require a manufacturer (which includes importers) to submit reports certifying that its products have been tested and meet the applicable energy conservation standards.  This civil penalty notice advises the company of the potential penalties and DOE's administrative process, including the company's right to a hearing.
