On June 1, 2017, pursuant to Section 3 of the Natural Gas Act, DOE issued Order No. 4028 authorizing Delfin LNG, LLC (Delfin) to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) by vessel from the proposed floating Delfin Liquefaction Facility, offshore of Cameron Parish, Louisiana, to countries that do not have a free trade agreement (FTA) with the United States. Delfin is authorized to export LNG up to the equivalent of 657.5 billion cubic feet (Bcf) per year (1.8 Bcf/day) of natural gas. In addition, a Record of Decision was also signed.
