Tracye McDaniel is founder and CEO of McDaniel Strategy Ecosystems, a strategic business management firm focused on innovative, customized solutions that deliver results. The firm leverages a vast ecosystem of organizations and professionals. Throughout her 30-year career, Ms. McDaniel has advised and supported five governors (Governor Ann Richards, Governor George Bush, Governor Rick Perry and Governor Greg Abbott in Texas and Governor Chris Christie in New Jersey) in all facets of public and private sector management, policy, international trade, marketing and economic development. She has led economic development efforts in over 51 countries. Ms. McDaniel is a trusted advisor to CEOs, nonprofits, economic development organizations, public organizations and private enterprises.

Ms. McDaniel served as President and CEO of the Texas Economic Development Corporation and TexasOneTM, an independently funded and operated 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to marketing the state globally for business attraction, retention and foreign direct investment leading to job creation and investment.

Before that, she was founding CEO of Choose New Jersey, one of a few economic development organizations in the country wholly funded using private funds.

Before New Jersey, Ms. McDaniel served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Greater Houston Partnership where she directed the execution of the organization's 10-year strategic plan focus on membership, economic development, international trade and public policy advocacy.

Ms. McDaniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Texas–Austin. She was elected 2019 Chair of International Economic Development Council, the world’s top organization for economic development professionals. Ms. McDaniel is also a Ford Foundation Regional Sustainable Development Fellow, a program of American Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Ms. McDaniel serves on the EMAB as a special government employee providing expert advice on management and strategic planning. She was appointed to the Board in October 2018.
