DOE Awards Renewal to the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices

Cincinnati -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) today issued a renewal of Agreement to the National Governors Association (NGA) Center for Best Practices. The Agreement, entitled “Engaging States on Critical Issues Related to Radioactive Waste and Materials Disposition at DOE Facilities” was renewed for a five-year period of performance beginning April 23, 2018.

This grant is intended to allow NGA to work cooperatively with DOE on the following activities: 1) Convene Meetings of the Federal Facilities Task Force (FFTF); 2) Manage Activities of the Combined Intergovernmental Working Group (CIWG); 3) Convene the Annual Intergovernmental Meeting; 4) Provide Outreach and Communications to the FFTF and DOE; 5) Develop, Produce, and Disseminate Publications and Provide Technical Support; as well as other administrative functions.
