Representing the Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), this month’s Renewable Energy Champion is wind energy program manager Alicia Mahon! Mahon recently served as guest editor for a special issue of the Marine Technology Society Journal, which focused on advancements in buoy technology—a topic with which she is quite familiar. Before assuming the PNNL wind energy program manager role in January 2022, Mahon managed PNNL's lidar buoy program for several years.
We thank Mahon for all her work with buoy technology. It has certainly contributed to keeping the U.S. offshore wind industry afloat.
