This is the text version of the H2–TRANS–PACIFIC Team video.

Narrator: Namie, Japan, City of Lancaster, California, and the County of Hawaii, the Big Island, are focused on hydrogen and strengthening ties across the Pacific.

Our partnership is solidified by our commitment to rapid decarbonization and clean energy advancement.

R. Rex Parris: Climate extinction is not a problem that Lancaster or Namie can solve alone.

But together, we may lead the way for the rest of the world to join us before it's too late.

We are thrilled to connect with other cities around the world that share our ambition and recognize that hydrogen's potential is the potential to save the species.

And it is our hope that more cities will join us on the path to reducing our emissions and saving our planet.

Yoshida Kazuhiro: This is Yoshida, the mayor of Namie City.

After suffering great casualties from the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear disaster 11 years ago, Namie City is aiming to maximize the usage of renewable energy and hydrogen energy produced here at the FH2R and advance toward a zero carbon city.

Through the mentor-mentee program and the alliance between three cities, we would like to continue working toward the construction of a hydrogen society.

Riley Saito: Green energy to the Island of Hawaii would be molecules that are created on this island, consumed on this island.

The vision is hydrogen, the highest and most available form of energy in the universe.

Two landfills produce enough fuel to operate trash hauling and mass transit bus fleets, which contributes to the 2035 goal of zero-emission vehicles being operated by the County of Hawaii.

The North Star is to import zero energy molecules.

Narrator: The municipalities of Lancaster, Namie, and the County of Hawaii have committed to building supportive bonds around hydrogen. This special relationship will benefit all three municipalities.

We would like to take a moment and thank the Department of Energy for this opportunity.
