Today, the U.S. Department of Energy announced $18.4 million in total funding through the Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF) for seven proposed national laboratory projects designed to streamline the path to market for energy technologies. Ensuring a smooth pathway for energy technologies to reach the marketplace helps fortify the U.S. economy and create jobs.

This lab call represents the combined efforts of the Office of Technology Transitions, the Geothermal Technologies Office, and seven other DOE program offices to address barriers, gaps, and root causes of commercialization challenges at national labs.

Of the 21 DOE national laboratories, 19 have been selected as either prime awardees or partners, and four have been selected for the first time in TCF history. This year’s seven selected TCF projects are supported by partners in 13 states.

Congratulations to our national laboratory partners!
