Hydrogen Student Design Contest—Since 2004, the Hydrogen Student Design Contest has challenged multi-disciplinary teams of university students to apply their creativity and academic skills in the areas of design, engineering, economics, environmental science, business, and marketing to the hydrogen and fuel cell industries.

Dr. Bernard S. Baker Award for Fuel Cell Research—The purpose of this award is to encourage and recognize exceptional students in the field of fuel cell related technologies. Open to currently enrolled graduate or undergraduate students pursuing research in a fuel cell related field, the award includes a cash prize and complimentary registration to the Fuel Cell Seminar & Energy Exposition to present a poster presentation.
