Representing the University of Texas at Dallas, we are excited to help The Comet Wind Team return to the U.S. Department of Energy's 2024 Collegiate Wind Competition and are eager to improve on previous years' performances.
We're looking forward to using this opportunity to continue developing the technical and leadership skills that will enable us to engage in the clean energy economy of the future. Our team draws motivation from the groundbreaking wind energy research already happening at our university—situated in the state with the country's highest wind power capacity—and from our inspiring teammates who share a strong investment in sustainability.
Now in its third year, Comet Wind is bigger and more diverse than ever, thanks to our heavy recruitment strategies and strategic collaborations with other student organizations. We're leveraging social media to share all the fascinating things we learn about wind energy throughout the competition and hope that it will generate excitement among our peers and the larger Dallas-Fort Worth community about the potential for careers in clean energy.
