Job Description
Title: State Financial Assistance Technology Manager
Grade: GS-0343-14 Management and Program Analyst
Description:
- Directing the activities of a new AMO Technical Partnerships program focused on providing technical assistance to manufacturers to access high-performance computing resources at national laboratories and to accelerate investment in smart manufacturing technologies and practices.
- Working with state programs to connect manufacturers with resources at national laboratories, innovation institutes, AMO Technical Partnerships programs, and other DOE resources.
- Coordinating and collaborating with other DOE programs and agencies focused on the deployment of smart manufacturing technologies, high-performance computing, and related education and workforce development resources.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required to Perform the Work:
- Management expertise in strategies to maximize the impact of large grant programs.
- Ability to engage with a broad variety of stakeholder organizations to develop technology deployment strategies and programs.
- Experience with siting and community engagement around energy-related facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and account for energy and environmental justice considerations during project implementation.
- Knowledge of business issues relevant to the development of the industrial sector, including key market applications, current and evolving structure of supply chains, and workforce considerations.
