Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI), will host its Demo Day 2019 on Sept 17 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Gleacher Center in Chicago, Illinois. Demo Day will feature innovators showcasing their technologies and emerging companies to potential investors and the energy community. This year Demo day will also feature innovators from all three U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Programs.
CRI, housed at Argonne National Laboratory, will feature six innovators. Innovations Crossroads at Oak Ridge National Laboratory will have four teams participating and Cyclotron Road at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will have two teams participate.
The programs were created to provide an institutional home at a national laboratory where innovators can work on their technology full-time. Innovators will have the help of leading technology experts, access to state-of-the art equipment and the opportunity to partner with business mentors while they develop their start-up companies. The programs are funded by DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office.
