What is the Virtual Center?

The Lithium Research, Development, and Demonstration (RD&D) Virtual Center, also known as the Lithium Center, is a United States Government (USG)-led center for promoting the collaboration, cooperation, and dissemination of lithium RD&D activities and supply chain related information throughout the United States. The Center is run by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO) and is composed of lithium stakeholders across government, national labs, industry, and academia.

Meetings

​​​​​Meetings are once every ~6 months, with a duration of 2-3 hours. Each meeting is typically organized around a lithium-related topic or theme with invited speakers from a broad range of backgrounds.

How can I get involved?

The Virtual Center invites U.S. government affiliates including employees, contractors, fellows, selected invitees; and grant awardees, (i.e. principle investigators, receiving USG funding for lithium related projects)
