Ben Ring

Ben serves as OTT’s HR management analyst on the Operations Team. Prior to joining OTT/the Department of Energy, Ben had a brief stint at the Department of Health and Human Services in contract and acquisition oversight, workforce management, workforce data analytics, and performance management. Prior to his brief time at HHS, Ben spent 12 years in the law enforcement and intelligence community on issues relating to border security, counternarcotics, regulatory compliance and enforcement, supporting multiagency international investigations, developing interagency partnerships and systems management. 

Before joining the federal government, Ben worked in the higher education sector, with a portfolio that included risk management, program development and student support services. 

Ben has a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
