Jeremy Ortiz

Jeremy Paul Ortiz currently serves as a Deputy Press Secretary in the Office of Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to this role, Jeremy served as U.S. Senator Joe Manchin’s Deputy Press Secretary for the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, where he helped craft communications plans and messaging strategies — including for the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the historic Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. During his time on Capitol Hill, Jeremy also served as Professional Development Director for the Congressional Hispanic Staff Association, where he actively worked to recruit, retain, and advance Latino staffers in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. A proud Southern California native, Jeremy attended and graduated from the University of California, Riverside.
