Hayley Emerson is a Special Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy Office of International Affairs. Previously, Hayley served as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Chiefs of Staff at the Office of the Secretary. Prior to that, she worked in DOE's Loan Programs Office initially as the Executive Assistant to Jigar Shah before transitioning to the External Affairs team as a Manager of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement. As a Southern California native, Emerson moved from Los Angeles to D.C. after field organizing in Arizona for the Biden-Harris Campaign. Following a successful election, she served as a Biden Fellow in Talent on the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Before working on the campaign trail, Emerson pursued entertainment working for Creative Artists Agency, Lionsgate, and Babelsberg Film Studios in Berlin, Germany. As a creative, she co-wrote/co-directed/co-produced an original musical, TWINS, with her identical twin sister in college. Emerson earned her B.A. in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
