Nicola Ohaebgu is an Acquisition Specialist and Small Business Technical Advisor with the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization. She is also the primary representative for OSDBU’s Woman-Owned Small Business program. Before joining the Department of Energy, Nicola worked for the U.S. Army Medical Research Material Command – Office of Small Business Programs as a Deputy Associate Director and Small Business Specialist for over three years. Her dedication earned her the Army’s FY 2015 Small Business Specialist of the Year Award for Exceptional Service. Prior to this, Nicola spent six years functioning as a contract and grant specialist for the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity administering a wide variety of grants and contracts to include Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer requirements. Nicola served honorably in the U.S. Navy for almost 8 years.
Nicola Ohaegbu earned her Masters of Business Administration from Mount St. Mary’s University and her Bachelor of Science in General Studies degree from Northwestern University. Nicola is DAWIA level III certified.
