Senior Advisor on Industrial Markets

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is looking to appoint a senior advisor on industrial markets. DOE has CHIPS Excepted Service Authority to hire for the Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office within the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).

Description

This position is offered as an excepted service appointment. The ideal incumbent would be someone very familiar with the the industrial sector, particularly energy-intensive industries, to serve as an expert advisor and provide leadership on emerging markets for industrial decarbonization technologies. They would plan, organize, and manage efforts to accelerate commercialization of industrial decarbonization activities. They would also lead the development of cross-office commercialization strategy, including the development of commercialization-focused programs to address gaps in the pillar’s portfolio.  They would lead an effort, based on technoeconomic and market analysis, to map markets for industrial decarbonization technologies taking into account factors like potential market size, trade volatility, and emerging market and supply chain dynamics. The position would be a senior advisor and report directly to the IEDO deputy director.
