West Coast Offshore Wind Transmission Convening Series: Tribal Listening Sessions

Throughout 2024, DOE and BOEM will host a Convening Series to discuss West Coast offshore wind transmission planning. Drawing from input received throughout the Convening Series, DOE and BOEM will develop a set of recommendations and actions for addressing transmission challenges on the West Coast, including California, Oregon, and Washington, similar to DOE's Atlantic Action Plan, but tailored to West Coast priorities.

Tribal collaboration throughout this process will be critical to its success. The goal of the Listening Sessions was to hear Tribal Nations’ concerns, goals, and insights in the offshore wind transmission space to help DOE and BOEM tailor their engagement, better serve Tribal needs, and to establish pathways for successful collaboration.
