Welcome Mrs. Pamela K. Isom as the new Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Technology Office (AITO)

Welcome Mrs. Pamela K. Isom as the new Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Technology Office (AITO). Pam served as Acting Director of AITO since April 2021 and in that short timeframe she worked closely with AITO staff and other programs to begin defining a vision for AITO that will enable DOE to improve AI strategic coordination and AI partnerships that advance the Department’s mission in key areas ranging from national security to climate resilience to energy justice. Pam brings over 25 years of experience in IT modernization using emerging capabilities including data science, AI and machine learning. Pam has demonstrated that she is an innovative leader who cares about the workforce. Most recently, Pam was in the Office of the CIO where she served as Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) for Architecture, Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (AET&I) since July 2018.
