January 6-8, 2020 Join NREL for the Mini-Semester Program in Golden, Colorado Students spend three days during winter break learning about energy research opportunities. They interact with scientists and researchers, attend project lectures, and participate in tours to experience work in progress.
Program Provides • Travel to and from NREL • Lodging, on-site transportation, and some meals • All materials and supplies •
Program hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Program Benefits Students who participate in the Mini-Semester are required to apply for the Community College Internship (CCI) for two-year institutions or the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) for four-year institutions. Both programs offer the opportunity to participate in a paid scientific research internship at NREL for summer 2020.
Program Eligibility & Requirements
• This program is designed for underrepresented students in STEM; however, anyone can apply • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA • Must have health insurance
